ROBOGASM! New Transformers 2 - Revenge Of The Fallen Trailer in HD!
Disney Joins Hulu! Whoo hoo!
Well, it looks like it’s official, Disney has signed a deal with Hulu.com as a partner. Finally, LOST on a video player that actually works! Not to mention the rest of ABC’s programming, including some movies.
Hulu seems to be riding a great wave right now. They just became the third most watched video site in the world, and now three of the four major networks are streaming video on the site. CBS, are you listening?
All I need now is that "badass" iPhone app!
The deal includes shows from ABC, ABC Family, ABC Daytime, SOAPNet, Disney Channel and "popular library titles from The Walt Disney Studios." [AllThingsD]Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Keith Loutit is the King of Tilt Shift Photography! Wait, what the hell is tilt shift?
Tilt-shift photography refers to the use of camera movements on small- and medium format cameras; it usually requires the use of special lenses.
"Tilt-shift" actually encompasses two different types of movements: rotation of the lens relative to the image plane, called tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, called shift. Tilt is used to control the orientation of the plane of focus (PoF), and hence the part of an image that appears sharp; it makes use of the Scheimpflug principle. Shift is used to change the line of sight while avoiding the convergence of parallel lines, as when photographing tall buildings.
In many cases, "tilt-shift photography" refers to the use of tilt and a large aperture to achieve a very shallow depth of field.

The Best Music Video I Have Ever Seen...
This is probably the best music video I have ever seen on the interweb. The amazing thing is, I almost didn’t watch it. Then, I noticed that it was done by an organization called playingforchange.com. So, I gave it a shot. WOW, is all I can say. Be sure to watch the entire video all the way to the end. It’s truly a well-constructed piece.
To give you a little background on it, this cover of Stand By Me was recorded by completely unknown artists, mostly street musicians, in a street virtual studio all around the world. It started with a base track—vocals and guitar—recorded on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California, by a street musician called Roger Ridley. The base track was then taken to New Orleans, Louisiana, where Grandpa Ellitott—a blind singer from the French Quarter—added vocals and harmonica while listening to Ridley's base track on headphones. While still in New Orleans, Washboard Chaz's added some grooving metal percussion to it.
Then, it gets a little crazy, the producers took the resulting mix all through Europe, Africa, and South America, adding new tracks with multiple instruments and vocals provided by local street musicians, that were then assembled into the final version in this video. All of this was done with a basic laptop and a few microphones.
OK, so maybe not the best music video on the interweb, but certainly the best version of Ben E. King's classic I've ever heard in my life. And if you’re like me, you’ve heard a bazillion of them.Playing For Change | Song Around The World "Stand By Me" from Concord Music Group on Vimeo.

Hulu on the iPhone? Can it be?
Just when you thought mobile TV was a joke. Alley Insider reports that Hulu is developing an iPhone app that will stream over 3G and Wi-Fi, and it's "badass."
The Office, Dollhouse, Denpa Shonen, Arrested Development, oh yes. Any hope AT&T has of charging people a monthly fee for mobile TV dies with a Hulu app, especially once ABC jumps onboard and it hits other mobile platforms (which it surely will). If it truly delivers the full Hulu experience—every video with a great user interface—the potential awesomeness literally blows my mind. In all seriousness, the concept of mobile TV was not exciting until this moment. [Alley Insider]
